The Artistic Value of Ballet Swan Lake

1. The King of Beautiful Melody. The music of "Swan Lake" was written by the great Russian composer Tchaikovsky in 1876. He used symphonic writing techniques to construct a grand musical scene, and many pieces became legendary classics. In this ballet, there is a whimpering pipe music that expresses the pure inner world of Princess Angela; There are also magnificent and bright dance pieces that showcase the sunshine and vitality of Prince Zigfried.

2. A pure and incredibly beautiful fairy tale. The story of Swan Lake is based on Folktale, that is, the devil turns a beautiful girl into a swan, but the power of love and justice finally defeats evil.

At first, 'Swan Lake' had two different endings, usually mixed performances: in the first version, the prince was enchanted by the illusion, and in the end, they both passed away with Princess Ojeta; But in the famous St. Petersburg version, despite the sad ending music, it is a happy ending where love triumphs over evil.

3. The shock of 32 'whips and turns'. In the famous solo variation of the Black Swan Aurelia in the third act of "Swan Lake", the black swan performs 32 single legged standing rotations called "whip turns" in one breath. This stunt was originally created by Italian ballet actress Pirina Legnani in 1892 and appeared in the St. Petersburg version of the performance.

Dancers interpret the completely different spiritual worlds of white swans and black swans with delicate sensations, light dancing postures, tenacious endurance, and perfect techniques. This stunt remains in "Swan Lake" and has become a touchstone for measuring the strength of ballet performers and dance troupes.
